Who We Are

At Harbor Hospice Gulf Coast, we believe that we are much more than a place. We are devoted to giving each family a gift when they need it most...quality of life for our patients when they are facing life's greatest challenge. We believe our work is a sacred duty and a valuable part of our team is volunteers. All you need to become a volunteer, is a compassionate heart and the desire to give a couple of hours per month.

What We Do

Hospice services provide care and comfort to patients diagnosed with a terminal illness that has been certified by a physician of having 6 months or less to leave, if the disease runs its normal course. Hospice and palliative care are provided through a team-oriented approach to medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support. The care-plan is developed and tailored to the patient's needs while supporting the family's wishes. Hospice focuses on caring, not curing and in most cases; care is provided in the patient's home. Volunteers can help with providing companionship and/or can help provide the family/caregivers with a much-needed break from their day-to-day duties.
