Who We Are
Rooted in a proud, decades-long legacy of service in the Coastal Bend, the Corpus Christi Community Center is dedicated to strengthening our community by providing inclusive programs and essential resources that nurture a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all neighbors. Formerly operating as the YMCA of the Coastal Bend, our organization has long served as a vital cornerstone for local youth, families, and seniors. Today, as an independent community center, we are building upon that rich foundation to usher in a new era of connection, wellness, and holistic support.
What We Do
- Youth & Sports Development: We provide safe, engaging environments through youth basketball leagues, seasonal summer camps, and athletic programming that build character, teamwork, and confidence on and off the court.
- Health & Active Living: From adult leagues and fitness offerings to specialized programs for active older adults, we ensure individuals at every stage of life have access to physical wellness and community connection.
- Essential Community Support: Moving beyond traditional recreation, we serve as a comprehensive resource hub, partnering with vital initiatives like The Free Store Corpus Christi to offer dignity, clothing, and basic necessities to unhoused individuals and families navigating financial hardship.
- Inclusive Access: We believe wellness belongs to everyone. Through community-driven initiatives and financial assistance, our doors remain open to all neighbors, regardless of socioeconomic background.
