HEB has done it again and has asked us to join in the fun! HEB and area museums will host a free block party on Friday 04/10/2026! We are looking for volunteers to help us make this an event to remember! 

How you can help:

We ask our volunteers to arrive at 3pm to allow time for introductions and to properly pair you with a staff member.

* Solid color shirts or organizational volunteer team shirts are preferred - walking shoes encouraged. *

Go you! We need your help to spread this mission and collect donations so, together, we can help more people here in South Texas get to work!

Each large kitchen trash bag or medium to large box of donations = 2 service hours. The more you donate, the more hours we award you. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. We work with your school or organization to make sure we certify your service hours according to their policies.

Awarding hours: Your certified service hours sheets are available on-site at drop off events and/or uploaded to your myMissionMultiplier portal, accessible to you at any time.

2. THE LOCATION - Leg 5 Start: Outside of the N.A.S. North Gate.

3. BRANDING & PROMOTION
Market Your Business: This is your space! We highly encourage you to bring your Business Banners, Flags, and Promotions.
* The Rule: These setups are 100% Free, provided that no sales are being made on-site. Use this time to build your brand and connect with the community
4. SETUP SUGGESTIONS (Items to bring) 
Shade: A pop-up tent or sun canopy makes a huge difference in the May heat.
Seating: Folding chairs or mats for runners to use while they recharge
Cooling: Anything to help with the heat—cooling towels, ice, or supplemental water.
5. LOGISTICS & ROAD CLOSURES
Arrival: Because the city closes the roads for the race, you’ll need to be in your spot and set up before 7:00 AM.
Departure: Plan on hanging out for a while! You won't be able to drive gear out until the roads reopen (usually between 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM).
Volunteer Spirit: This is a 100% voluntary effort. There are no required hours—we are
just grateful for the energy and shade you bring to the course!

49th Annual Beach to Bay Relay Marathon

By serving as a Cheer Station, you will also be a Supplemental Water Station. You and your group/team will cheer on runners throughout the race AND provide the critical hydration and motivation that makes the finish line possible.

Each Cheer Station Team Lead will register for ONE Team registration below to secure your Cheer Station. There is room for two teams at Oleander Station; one at the Curve and one at Oleander Point.

CHEER STATION TEAM AGREEMENT

• Bring the Energy: Use your music, your banners, and your loudest Cheer Squad to turn these quiet stretches into a positive experience.
• Promote Your Business: We encourage your team to wear company work shirts and provide your own business cards or flyers.

You agree to bring the following items to your Cheer Station: 
• Hydration: Bring water/hydrations supplies, a sturdy folding table, paper cups and large gallons of water, so runners can refill their bottles
• The Energy: A portable speaker with a high-energy playlist, banners/signage for your business, and a "Cheer Squad"
• Clean Up: Large trash bags. You are responsible for leaving your designated spot as clean as you found it.

49th Annual Beach to Bay Relay Marathon

We are seeking a Water Station team to support the Beach to Bay event. Volunteers will work together to racers at the end of the race at the Finish Line. 

Volunteers will actively refill water cups during the duration of the leg until the last runner completes the race.

*Race end time is approximate*

8AM - Volunteers will set up medals early in morning.
12PM - The Awards Ceremony will begin and will last about 45 minutes.

Volunteers in this position must be agile as the Award Ceremony moves at a very fast pace.

Working together as a team, volunteers will provide hospitality to spectators and racers offering cups of Pepsi products; filling cups and distributing them inside the Pepsi trailer.

Volunteers will assist with the medals for the Marathon Runners, completing the half or full marathon.

Parking: Available at the Church of the Good Shepherd, First United Methodist Church, or IBC Bank

Caution: This volunteer position is in the sun, be mindful and take precautions for sun protection and heat protection.

Volunteers are needed for the Texas Challengers Quiz Tournaments (TCQT) middle school and high school Quiz Bowl tournament at W. B. Ray High School on Saturday, May 9.  Most volunteers will serve as moderators and read questions to the students.  Moderators will need to complete a quick 10–15-minute training before volunteering.  Volunteers can also serve as scorekeepers.  Training for scorekeepers takes about 5 minutes.  Free pizza will be provided for lunch.  Partial shifts are welcome.

The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is looking for passionate volunteers to help make our 2026 walk event our best yet!

We are seeking:

This position supports the Regional Volunteer Services Department.  Assists the implementation of the regional volunteer recruitment plan by performing volunteer recruitment activities to attract a skilled, talented and diverse volunteer workforce to service in all lines of business around the organization.

• Assists in the development and implementation of volunteer workforce recruitment activities.

• Recruits volunteers for all lines of service and departments.

• Meets with Volunteer Management team to determine targeted recruitment needs in the region.

• Proactively recruits new volunteers for general and specific volunteer opportunities.

Pet Therapy Volunteers offer meaningful support by providing companion visits to patients in their homes or care facilities. These visits bring comfort and emotional relief through the calming presence of certified therapy animals.

Volunteers and their animals help reduce anxiety, depression, pain, and loneliness, offering compassionate connection and companionship during a vulnerable time in a patient’s life. This role is ideal for individuals with certified therapy pets who are looking to make a difference in the lives of others through gentle, healing presence.

All visits are coordinated with the hospice team and tailored to the patient’s needs and preferences.

Music Therapy Volunteers provide soothing companionship through the healing power of music. Volunteers visit patients in their homes or care facilities, offering live music, recorded music with vocals or instruments to bring comfort, peace, and emotional support during end-of-life care.

Music can help ease pain, reduce anxiety and depression, and create moments of joy, reflection, and connection for patients and their loved ones.

All visits are scheduled with the hospice team and tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs and preferences.

Hospice volunteers should have a compassionate and kind attitude toward their patients. They should strive to provide comfort and support for both the patient and their family members. They should be reliable, punctual, and prepared for the tasks assigned to them. Good communication skills are essential in this role. Hospice volunteers should have a good understanding of hospice services, as well as, the hospice philosophy of care, taught during training. We have a Fiesta Committee that meets January through August each year. Come join a fun group of people who are working to plan our major fundraiser.  Tasks of the committee are: securing the venue, planning the menu, gathering auction items, arranging speakers and testimonies, planning fun games, and ensuring that the event goes smoothly. This event funds our summer and fall adventures each year. The more hands, the merrier! Come join us.

A campus buddy is a volunteer who develops a friendship with a CCSSLC resident. The volunteer can simply visit with the resident or even participate in activities such as arts and crafts, video games, sports, and more!

The purpose of the Human Rights Committee is to review and approve (or recommend revisions) the teams recommended rights modifications for each resident served. The member must be able to understand and analyze information, be flexible, have compassion for staff and individuals, be proactive for the rights of individuals with disabilities, and be able to maintain confidentiality. HRC meetings are held every Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center.

Thank you for inquiring!  Tacos Not Bombs CC meets every SUNDAYS: 11:30 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M. Rain or Shine at Artesian Park in downtown Corpus Christi and we serve a hot meal to the homeless and food insecure communities. 

We need volunteers to help serve the food, to prepare and bring some food items and to help with set up of tables and trash pick up.

Join us on a 3-7 day camping trip to a Texas State Park and explore the outdoors with us. Activities include at least two of the following: Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking and Rock Climbing, Bouldering, and much more. Each activity provides "challenge" and encourages youth to stretch themselves beyond their self-imposed limits through facing that challenge. These activities encourage the evolution of judgment, personal responsibility, and awareness of group needs. The trip includes reflection, evaluation and goal review to help the youth derive meaning from what they have experienced and how the experiences apply to their lives.

We welcome all volunteers eager for a water adventure. Join us on a day trip to either the Nueces River at Labonte Park or in the Bay of Corpus Christi. Trained staff teach basic paddling strokes and water safety onshore before the group enters the water and continues to teach and assist while traveling the body of water. This is a fun day-trip filled with wildlife and growing together as a team.

These are two-hour team-building activities held at local recreation centers, schools, parks, and other sites around the Coastal Bend. This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) department.

Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the Red Cross responds to each year are local, personal disasters like home fires. Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information to help families begin the process of recovery.

The Disaster Action Team (DAT) Duty Officer ensures timely activation and monitoring of local and regional DAT responses. The Duty Officer supports the DAT program either at the chapter/territory or region level.

Trained or interested facilitators/belayers needed to assist with low and high elements on our Ropes Course throughout the year. Our Challenge Course is located off of I-37 (30 min drive from Corpus Christi).

Come out to the ropes course for a fun filled day-trip. These usually occur on the weekends where youth participate in low and high elements. Low element activities are on the ground which foster teamwork, overcoming challenges, and support. The high elements are rock-climbing and walking across cables suspended 35 feet in the air (facilitated by trained and certified belayers), focusing on overcoming fears, problem-solving, and pushing yourself to new limits in a safe and controlled way.
