Be sure to clean the table when a guest is finished, but without intruding or rushing them. Volunteers will also assist in re-setting tables for new guests with placemats and plastic wear as initial guests leave.

Pie Delivery Server Volunteer job requirements:

Volunteers at the Pie Prep Table will place slices of pie onto plates for the Pie Delivery Servers.

Area captains are assigned to one of four color-coded sections of the dining area. Volunteer Area Captains will work in teams of four. 

Area Captains should have great leadership skills, a good eye, and a jolly spirit!

Area Captains are responsible for:

Volunteers will work in teams of two and serve chilled drinks to guests from the Beverage Service area, using a small cart.

Volunteers are teamed up with a Plate Delivery Tray Carrier. Working together in teams of two, the tray carrier & the server will deliver hot meals to guests by taking plates from the delivery trays and serve the guests.

These volunteers will have the most interaction with guests and should serve up the happiest of holiday cheer and greetings to all guests!

*Must be able to lift 10lbs* **age 16+**

Volunteers are teamed up with a Plate Delivery Server. Working together in teams of two, the tray carrier & the server will deliver hot meals from the Plate Builders to guests by carrying plates on a tray. 

This is a very fast paced volunteer job, and requires carrying a large tray, and the ability to zigzag with a big holiday smile!

Volunteer plate builders will work quickly and efficiently to get the delicious food portioned out on the assembly line. Volunteers will need to go with the flow and step in to ensure the feast is shared by all expeditiously!

Safety Brigade: Spills happen! When they do, we need volunteers who are not afraid of a mop to get the spill cleaned up quickly, to keep the area safe for all the guests and volunteers who are bustling through the dining hall.

The Safety Brigade will work hand in hand with staff to assist with removing, disposing of the trash receptacles.

*This role is great for youth groups, teams, or clubs looking to volunteer together*

Assist with activities in the Kids' Corner, including, but not limited to, ensuring trash from the crafts area is being put into appropriate trash bins, assisting youth visitors with their crafts or activities, monitoring the carnival games, handing out prizes, and running water to the Kids' Corner partners, and more. Check in at 703 N Chaparral St in between Rockits and Axis Tattoo.

Volunteers are needed for the Texas Challengers Quiz Tournaments (TCQT) middle school and high school Quiz Bowl tournament at Ingleside High School on Saturday, November 8.  Most volunteers will serve as moderators and read questions to the students.  Moderators will need to complete a quick 10–15-minute training before volunteering.  Volunteers can also serve as scorekeepers.  Training for scorekeepers takes about 5 minutes.  Free pizza will be provided for lunch.  Partial shifts are welcome.

Setting up tables, chairs, and decorations inside the VIP area at K Space Contemporary. You will check in at 703 N Chaparral, located between Rockits and Axis Tattoo. 

This job consists of monitoring the Tribute area installation and display, handing out tribute to festival attendees, and encouraging them to participate in the tribute area to remember loved ones who have passed. You will check in at the Volunteer check-in at 703 N Chaparral St located between Axis Tattoo and Rockits.

This position requires you to check in all volunteers, direct them where to go, and give them a t-shirt.  You will check in for your shift at the Volunteer Lounge at 703 N Chaparral St located between Axis tattoo and Rockits Bar.

Sell waters and sodas at the designated tent inside the food court. 

Assist visitors in voting for their favorite pinaatas, and collect zip codes from guests as they enter K Space Contemporary. Volunteer check-in at 703 N Chaparral st between Rockits and Axis Tattoo.

You will check in for your volunteer shift at K Space Contemporary. Help bring back decorations to K Space, folding chairs and tables, and retrieving them from the food court, helping pack up bars after the festival closes. 

Barricade handlers will stand at the barricade and make sure no one drives pass the barricades. At certain barricade areas, you might need to move barricades in order for vendors, bands or other necessary vehicles to enter and exit. Wearing our skeleton puppets and walking around the festival. This job is done in pairs with one person wearing the puppet, and one helping monitor the environment to ensure the puppet wearer is safe and the puppet is not getting damaged. Assist in bringing banner, decorations, tents, and leftover craft supplies back to K Space Contemporary. The Kid's Corner closes at 9 pm. Check in at Volunteer check-in at 703 N Chaparral St. 

General festival duties as assigned. Running TP and paper towels to bathroom stations, delivering extra flyers to festival greeters, etc. Check in at 703 N Chaparral St in between Rockits and Axis Tattoo

This volunteer position consists of greeting festival goers at the entrance points and making sure no one is walking in with coolers or outside alcoholic Beverages. You will also hand out maps and flyers about basic festival information. You will check in at the volunteer table located on 703 Chaparral St. between Rockits and Axis Tattoo.

This volunteer position is located at the altar display in the building on the 500 block of Chaparral. It consists of attending to the altars or keeping count of festival attendees. Pet Therapy Volunteers offer meaningful support by providing companion visits to patients in their homes or care facilities. These visits bring comfort and emotional relief through the calming presence of certified therapy animals.

Volunteers and their animals help reduce anxiety, depression, pain, and loneliness, offering compassionate connection and companionship during a vulnerable time in a patient’s life. This role is ideal for individuals with certified therapy pets who are looking to make a difference in the lives of others through gentle, healing presence.

All visits are coordinated with the hospice team and tailored to the patient’s needs and preferences.

Music Therapy Volunteers provide soothing companionship through the healing power of music. Volunteers visit patients in their homes or care facilities, offering live music, recorded music with vocals or instruments to bring comfort, peace, and emotional support during end-of-life care.

Music can help ease pain, reduce anxiety and depression, and create moments of joy, reflection, and connection for patients and their loved ones.

All visits are scheduled with the hospice team and tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs and preferences.

Hospice volunteers should have a compassionate and kind attitude toward their patients. They should strive to provide comfort and support for both the patient and their family members. They should be reliable, punctual, and prepared for the tasks assigned to them. Good communication skills are essential in this role. Hospice volunteers should have a good understanding of hospice services, as well as, the hospice philosophy of care, taught during training. A campus buddy is a volunteer who develops a friendship with a CCSSLC resident. The volunteer can simply visit with the resident or even participate in activities such as arts and crafts, video games, sports, and more!

The purpose of the Human Rights Committee is to review and approve (or recommend revisions) the teams recommended rights modifications for each resident served. The member must be able to understand and analyze information, be flexible, have compassion for staff and individuals, be proactive for the rights of individuals with disabilities, and be able to maintain confidentiality. HRC meetings are held every Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center.

Join us on a 3-7 day camping trip to a Texas State Park and explore the outdoors with us. Activities include at least two of the following: Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking and Rock Climbing, Bouldering, and much more. Each activity provides "challenge" and encourages youth to stretch themselves beyond their self-imposed limits through facing that challenge. These activities encourage the evolution of judgment, personal responsibility, and awareness of group needs. The trip includes reflection, evaluation and goal review to help the youth derive meaning from what they have experienced and how the experiences apply to their lives.

We welcome all volunteers eager for a water adventure. Join us on a day trip to either the Nueces River at Labonte Park or in the Bay of Corpus Christi. Trained staff teach basic paddling strokes and water safety onshore before the group enters the water and continues to teach and assist while traveling the body of water. This is a fun day-trip filled with wildlife and growing together as a team.

These are two-hour team-building activities held at local recreation centers, schools, parks, and other sites around the Coastal Bend. Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the Red Cross responds to each year are local, personal disasters like home fires. Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information to help families begin the process of recovery.

The Disaster Action Team (DAT) Duty Officer ensures timely activation and monitoring of local and regional DAT responses. The Duty Officer supports the DAT program either at the chapter/territory or region level.

Trained or interested facilitators/belayers needed to assist with low and high elements on our Ropes Course throughout the year. Our Challenge Course is located off of I-37 (30 min drive from Corpus Christi).

Come out to the ropes course for a fun filled day-trip. These usually occur on the weekends where youth participate in low and high elements. Low element activities are on the ground which foster teamwork, overcoming challenges, and support. The high elements are rock-climbing and walking across cables suspended 35 feet in the air (facilitated by trained and certified belayers), focusing on overcoming fears, problem-solving, and pushing yourself to new limits in a safe and controlled way.
