Help us divert waste from our landfill and encourage sustainable actions!
Volunteers in this position will be stationed at a waste station with a recycling cart and trash cart. Volunteers at these stations will be encouraging event attendees to sort their recycling from their landfill waste by throwing it in the correct bin, focusing on collecting aluminum cans and plastic drink bottles. This position includes standing or sitting (please bring a chair if you plan to sit) at one location, talking to event goers as well as vendors to collect recycling. Wear comfortable shoes and expect to be outdoors. Shifts are two hours long. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Upon sign up, volunteers will receive a simple training video, a volunteer t-shirt, and swag items.
